1.1 NextGen Skills Studio (“NextGen”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly.
1.2 This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect about you, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what rights you have in relation to it.
1.3 This Policy applies to our website (the “Website”), our social media pages, our WhatsApp and other communication channels, and all workshops, courses, mentorship sessions, webinars and related services we provide (together, the “Services”).
1.4 NextGen Skills Studio is operated by Dr. Aribah Ghouse, based in Lahore, Pakistan.
1.5 By using the Website or the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1.6 This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service and our Refund Policy.
2. Who Is Responsible For Your Information
2.1 NextGen Skills Studio is the party responsible for deciding how and why your personal information is processed in connection with the Services.
2.2 If you have any questions about this Policy or about how we handle your information, you can contact us using the details in section 17.
3. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information.
3.1 Information you give us directly
- Contact details: your name, phone number, WhatsApp number, email address and city or country.
- Enrolment details: the workshop or course you are interested in, your preferred schedule, your batch, and any notes you share about your goals, background or availability.
- Background information: information you choose to share about your education, current occupation, prior experience with digital tools, and what you hope to achieve.
- Payment information: proof of payment such as a transaction reference or screenshot, the payment method used, the amount paid and the date. We do not collect or store your full card details, bank login credentials, PINs or passwords.
- Work you submit: assignments, practice tasks, portfolio pieces, designs, videos, campaigns and other work you produce during a workshop.
- Feedback and testimonials: reviews, messages, voice notes, ratings, survey responses and screenshots you choose to send us.
- Correspondence: the content of messages you send us on WhatsApp, email, social media or through any form on the Website.
3.2 Information we collect automatically
- Website usage data: your IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser type and version, device type, operating system, screen size, referring website, the pages you visit, the time and date of your visit and how long you stay on each page.
- Cookies and similar technologies: as described in section 9.
3.3 Information from third parties
- Social media platforms: if you interact with our pages or advertisements on Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn, those platforms may provide us with aggregated information about your interaction. We may also see your public profile information when you message us.
- Analytics providers: aggregated statistics about visitors to our Website.
- Referrals: if an existing student refers you, we may receive your name and contact details from them. We will tell you who referred you if you ask.
3.4 Information we do not intentionally collect
We do not ask for and do not wish to receive sensitive personal information such as your national identity card number, religious beliefs, political opinions, health information, biometric data or financial account credentials. Please do not send us such information unless we specifically request it for a stated purpose.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes.
4.1 To provide the Services
- To respond to your enquiries and answer your questions
- To recommend a suitable workshop based on your goals and availability
- To process your enrolment and confirm your seat
- To add you to the relevant class group and send you joining links
- To deliver live sessions, share course materials and set assignments
- To provide mentorship, review your work and give feedback
- To provide support after your workshop ends
4.2 To handle payments
- To verify that payment has been received
- To manage instalment plans where agreed
- To issue receipts and maintain financial records
- To assess and process refund requests
4.3 To communicate with you
- To send you class schedules, reminders, links and updates
- To notify you of changes to a session or workshop
- To answer your questions before, during and after a workshop
- To send you information about other workshops that may interest you, where you have not objected to receiving them
4.4 To improve our Services
- To understand which workshops and topics are most useful
- To review feedback and improve our curriculum and teaching
- To analyse how visitors use our Website so we can improve it
- To train our instructors and maintain teaching quality
4.5 For marketing, where permitted
- To publish testimonials and student work with your consent
- To measure the performance of our advertising
- To show relevant advertisements on social media platforms
- To send promotional messages about new workshops, where you have not opted out
4.6 For legal and administrative purposes
- To keep accurate business and tax records
- To resolve disputes and enforce our Terms of Service

5. Our Lawful Basis For Processing
5.1 We process your information on the following bases:
- Performance of a contract: to deliver the workshop or service you have enrolled in and paid for.
- Your consent: for marketing messages, for publishing your testimonial or your work, and for non-essential cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Our legitimate interests: to run and improve our business, to keep our Services secure, to understand our students, and to promote our workshops in a reasonable and proportionate way.
- Legal obligation: to keep financial records and comply with applicable law.
5.2 Where you withdraw consent, this does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before the withdrawal.
6. Session Recordings
6.1 Live sessions may be recorded for the benefit of students who cannot attend, for quality assurance, and for instructor training.
6.2 A recording may capture your name as displayed, your voice if you speak and your camera image if your camera is on.
6.3 You will be told when a session is being recorded. If you do not wish to appear in a recording, you may keep your camera and microphone switched off and ask questions in the chat instead.
6.4 Recordings are shared only with students enrolled in that workshop and are not published publicly. You must not download, copy, share or redistribute any recording.
6.5 Recordings are retained for 2 months and then deleted, unless we need to keep one longer to deal with a complaint or dispute.
7. Group Chats and Class Communities
7.1 Workshops may include a WhatsApp group or similar community space.
7.2 Please be aware that other members of the group will be able to see your phone number, your display name and your profile photo as configured on that platform, along with anything you post.
7.3 We are not responsible for how other participants use information you choose to share in a group. Please share only what you are comfortable making visible to the group.
7.4 You may ask to be removed from a group at any time.
8. Testimonials, Reviews and Student Work
8.1 We publish testimonials only with your permission.
8.2 When you give a testimonial, we will ask you what name and details you wish to be shown. You may choose to be identified by your full name, your first name only, your initials, or as an anonymous participant with only a city, country or batch shown.
8.3 We may lightly edit a testimonial for spelling, grammar or length. We will never change its meaning.
8.4 Where you share a screenshot showing earnings, orders or client messages, we will remove or blur amounts, client names and other identifying details unless you specifically ask us not to.
8.5 We may display work you created during a workshop, with credit to you, for promotional purposes, unless you tell us you would rather we did not.
8.6 You may withdraw your permission at any time by contacting us. We will remove the testimonial or work from our Website and from future marketing materials within a reasonable period. Material already printed or already distributed may not always be recoverable.
9. Cookies and Similar Technologies
9.1 Our Website may use cookies, which are small text files stored on your device.
9.2 We may use the following types:
- Essential cookies: required for the Website to function correctly, such as remembering your cookie preferences. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics cookies: help us understand how many people visit the Website, which pages they view and how they found us. This information is aggregated.
- Advertising cookies: set by platforms such as Meta to measure the performance of our advertisements and to show relevant ads to people who have visited our Website.
9.3 You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the Website from working properly.
9.4 Where required, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
10. Who We Share Your Information With
10.1 We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
10.2 We share information only in the following circumstances:
- Our instructors and mentors: so they can teach you, review your work and provide guidance. They are required to keep your information confidential.
- Service providers who help us operate, including:
- video conferencing platforms such as Zoom and Google Meet
- messaging platforms such as WhatsApp
- email and communication providers
- website hosting and analytics providers
- payment processors and mobile wallet providers
- Social media and advertising platforms, where we run advertising or where you interact with our pages.
- Professional advisers such as accountants or lawyers, where necessary.
- Authorities, where we are required to disclose information by law, by a court order, or to protect the rights, safety or property of NextGen, our students or the public.
- A successor entity, if our business is transferred, merged or restructured. We will notify you if this happens and your information will remain protected by this Policy.
10.3 We do not share your contact details with other students, with recruiters, or with any third party for their own marketing purposes.
11. International Transfers
11.1 Some of the service providers we use, such as video conferencing, messaging, hosting and analytics providers, store data on servers outside Pakistan.
11.2 This means your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries, which may have different data protection standards.
11.3 We take reasonable steps to work with established providers that apply appropriate security and confidentiality safeguards.
12. How Long We Keep Your Information
12.1 We keep your information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.
12.2 As a general guide:
- Enquiries that do not lead to enrolment: [12] months from your last contact with us.
- Student records, including enrolment and contact details: for the duration of your involvement with us and for [X] years afterwards, so we can verify your attendance, respond to queries and honour refund or certificate requests.
- Financial and payment records: for as long as required by applicable tax and accounting law.

- Testimonials and published work: until you withdraw your permission.
- Website analytics data: typically [26] months in aggregated form.
12.3 When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it so it can no longer be linked to you.
13. How We Protect Your Information
13.1 We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including:
- restricting access to student information to staff and instructors who need it
- using reputable platforms and service providers
- protecting accounts with passwords and, where available, two-factor authentication
- serving our Website over a secure encrypted connection
- reviewing who has access to our systems from time to time
13.2 No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13.3 You also have a role in keeping your information safe. Please do not share your access links or class credentials with anyone, and tell us promptly if you believe your information has been compromised.
13.4 If a data breach occurs that is likely to affect you significantly, we will notify you and take appropriate steps to limit the harm.
14. Your Rights and Choices
14.1 You have the following rights in relation to your information:
- Access: to ask what information we hold about you and receive a copy.
- Correction: to ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Deletion: to ask us to delete your information, subject to any records we must keep by law.
- Objection: to object to our use of your information for marketing or on the basis of our legitimate interests.
- Withdrawal of consent: to withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it, including consent for testimonials or marketing messages.
- Restriction: to ask us to limit how we use your information while a query or dispute is being resolved.
- Complaint: to raise a concern with us, and to complain to a relevant authority if you are not satisfied with our response.
14.2 To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 17. We will respond within a reasonable period, normally within 30 days.
14.3 We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, to make sure we do not disclose information to the wrong person.
14.4 To stop receiving promotional messages, reply STOP to any WhatsApp message from us, or tell us in writing. You will continue to receive messages necessary for a workshop you are enrolled in.
15. Children and Young People
15.1 Our Services are intended for adults. Students under 18 may enrol only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, as set out in our Terms of Service.
15.2 We do not knowingly collect information from children under [13].
15.3 If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will delete it.
15.4 A parent or guardian may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their child's information at any time.
16. Changes to This Policy
16.1 We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our Services or the law.
16.2 The updated version will be posted on the Website with a revised “Last updated” date.
16.3 Where changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to notify you directly.
16.4 Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
